Eng. Gamini Senanayake was the founder Director and Chief Executive Officer of Industrial Services Bureau (ISB) - a consulting and project implementing organization based in Kurunegala, Sri Lanka and operating island wide and internationally. ISB is now widely recognized as one of the most reliable and dependable industrial and business development service providers of the island and Eng. Senanayake as the founder CEO has played the key role in achieving this status. Eng. Senanayake retired from ISB in October 2006 at the age of 55 years.

After retiring from the service at ISB upon reaching 55 years, capitalizing the high reputation and the credentials as the founder CEO of ISB, M/s Gamini Senanayake Associates Private Limited (GSA) was incorporated as a limited liability private company. GSA is geared to provide advisory and consultancy services on technical, business and development desciplines and to engage in export and import.

He also served as the Chairman of the Industrial Development Board of Ceylon (IDB) for a period of 13 months from February 2007 to March 2008. The mission of IDB is to facilitate the provision of demand driven quality services to make Sri Lankan enterprises globally competitive through an island wide network of dedicated and innovative team to achieve business excellence.

He has nearly 30 years of experience as a practicing engineer and organizational leader and had served in various semi government and private sector establishments such as National Engineering Research & Development Centre (NERD), Prima Ltd. Singapore and Sri Lanka, Refinery Division of Ceylon Petroleum Corporation.

Eng. Senanayake was graduated in 1977 from University of Moratuwa with a Second Class Upper Division (B.Sc. Engineering (Hons)) specialized in Mechanical Engineering. In 1994, he was awarded the Master of Business Administration (MBA) degree with a Distinction in the discipline of Industrial Policy & Corporate Strategy by Maastricht School of Management in The Netherlands. Currently he is reading for his PhD in the Postgraduate Institute of Management (PIM) in the area of Technology Transfer and Organizational Leadership.

He is a Fellow of Sri Lanka Institute of Engineers (Since 1995), Corporate Member (Chartered Engineer) of Sri Lanka Institute of Engineers (Since 1985), Corporate Member (Professional Chartered Engineer) of The Institute of Engineers Australia (Since 1990) and a Corporate Member Sri Lanka Energy Managers Association (SLEMA) (Since 1984) and was a past Chairman of IESL Wayamba Centre (2005/2006). He is the Charter President of Wayamba Toastmasters Club based in Kurunegala.
